ICF Jones & Stokes' Climate Change Focus Group is composed of specialists in air quality, water resources and flood management, natural resources, transportation, ports and goods movement, energy and public utilities, land use planning, and environmental law. Our climate change specialists provide a host of services, including greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory analysis, GHG mitigation plan development, and climate change analysis, consistent with CEQA and NEPA requirements. We also determine project impacts on the GHG emissions budget and provide guidance on how future projects will likely have to adapt to potential changes in the environment due to climate change. At the request of several California air districts, ICF Jones & Stokes has developed URBEMIS 2007 , environmental management software that is used to estimate emissions from construction and operation of development projects. URBEMIS-GHG will allow the user to estimate the “carbon footprint” of a project and the effects of various mitigation approaches on a project’s emissions of greenhouse gas, including the effects of smart growth on GHG emissions. URBEMIS is widely used to conduct CEQA-related air quality studies. For more information, please visit the Climate Change Focus Group website.
