I’ve worked on many challenging and exciting projects.  I’m proud of each and every project that I’ve worked on. Every time you’re able to help your client meet a funding deadline or successfully address concerns of a community – all these are achievements we are proud of every day.

J&S is unique in that we have always embraced the idea of a learning organization.  We back that up with our investment in the Learning Center and professional development workshops.  I’ve advanced from an entry-level employee through the ranks of project management to Project Director, Water Resources Team Leader and now Regional Leader.   There has always been more opportunity here than I could ever expect.  That’s what I continue to enjoy about this special place.

I have had the opportunity to work on so many different types of projects, ranging from transportation to planning to flood control projects, and in so many different jurisdictions.  The diversity of projects and clients is what I love most about my job, because it has allowed me to develop some great relationships with our diverse clientele and to learn from our interdisciplinary staff over the course of my career with J&S.

Jones & Stokes staff members are second to none. I am impressed by the caliber of our employees—from our environmental attorneys who wrote the books on environmental policy, to our biologists, environmental specialists, community affairs staff who provide our clients with professional and passionate environmental compliance services, to our administrative staff who are the backbone to the firm as a whole.

J&S has a great training program.  I’ve been able to take classes and learn more than I ever would have been able to do on my own.  I’m really taking off in my specialty, and it’s given me a real sense of worth.

Once in awhile, when I am doing fieldwork in natural areas and documenting the biological resources, there are moments when I think to myself, I am being paid to have fun.
